School Lunch Day 71: Pizza Bites & Cereal Bars

A quick and easy packed school lunch for just two kids today: pizza is always popular!

If you were paying attention to the days of the week, you might notice that I often pack pizza on Mondays. Usually it's because we always have pizza on Friday night for dinner, and I try to get enough so that we have leftovers.  I think of all the days of the week, Monday lunch should be easy and should be something that I know the small people are going to like and going to want to eat. I try to mix it up a little bit - cutting it in different shapes, or in bite sized pieces - and I try to include different sides with it. But it's still just cheese pizza, and you can never go wrong with that.

So - these are just two lunches, because I had one child staying home very sick, and I had a twin sister who wasn't interested in going to school without her, and a momma who was too exhausted to put up a fight about it. It's kindergarten, I don't think it really matters if they miss a day here an there.

With the cheese pizza bites they had grape tomatoes, oranges, apples, and a piece of some cereal bars I made. You can read more about the cereal bars here. I think they are one of my new favorite things. I may have eaten more of them than the kids did.

As usual - these lunches were packed the night before and sent to school cold, to be eaten at room temperature by lunch time.
